SEED LIBRARY

The North University Seed Library is a free community resource where residents can “check out” locally adapted, non-GMO seeds, including both organic and non-organic varieties, to grow at home. A seed library is more than just a collection of seeds. It's a place that encourages sharing, sustainability, and a deeper connection to healthy food and local ecology.

The North University Seed Library is committed to maintaining a collection of pure, healthy seeds for community use while educating residents on how to grow, harvest, and save seeds successfully. Our goal is to develop regionally adapted seeds that support our local ecology, advance gardening knowledge, reconnect our community with the tradition of growing fresh and wholesome food, and create a community-sustained seed collection at our library. Above all, we aim to nurture a culture of sharing and abundance.
